Pedro Eloy is the Chief Executive Officer at Pelham Grey, heading the team’s investment in innovative startups & SME’s, partnering with global companies entering local markets and launching businesses. As former Senior Executive at Fung Group/Li&Fung (Senior Vice President/Director for 9 years) and with a mandate to champion digital & omni-channel, predictive analytics and technology integration initiatives, Pedro orchestrated 68+ cross-platform projects for the Group’s Trading, Logistics & Distribution verticals and led the teams who brought the first digital awards to the Group. Focusing on optimising the digital outsourcing model, he accrued an average annual cost savings of US$2+ million. On the business front, he generated new revenue opportunities with potential annual sales of US$1 billion
In academia, Pedro is the Founder/Adjunct Visiting Professor of, and heads the Business Lab at, MBA Hong Kong University since 2012. He is also the Founder of the Social Impact Lab hosted at HKU Common Core. In the public sector, Pedro is the Chairman of the Youth & Women Entrepreneurship of the Sustainable Business Network of UN ESCAP, promoting business leapfrogging and economic growth for Asia Pacific young entrepreneurs, covering the 53 member and 9 associate UN ESCAP member countries, alongside a series of collaborating programs with global entrepreneurial ecosystems.
With 24 years of experience in large corporations and entrepreneurial ventures across Europe, North America and Asia, and an education from Stanford University, the Financial Times NED, MIT Sloan, Bournemouth University and ISCEM, Pedro has been the recipient of several awards, including the Best Rebrand of a Digital Property Gold Award (Transform AP), the IMA Outstanding Achievement Award, the IACAS Excellence in Marketing Award, the Mercomm Galaxy Award, the Golden Web Awards and the J. William Fulbright Scholarship Award for digital platforms related research.
Recognised by the digital industry, Pedro is a Fellow of the British Computer Society, an Executive Council member of the Sustainable Business Network of UN ESCAP, an Executive Member of the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, a published author and a judge for the Webby Awards, as well as several digital awards & entrepreneurship competitions. In his advisory capacity, he is an Honorary Advisory Member for Hong Kong Sustainable Development Research Institute, an Honorary Member of the Portugal-China Entrepreneurs Association and an advisory board member of Media Invest.
